Art for Covid-19

In the first weeks of the Italian lockdown each one of us felt helpless while forced indoors, unable to contribute to the Covid-19 emergency response.
We therefore immediately welcomed the proposal for a fundraising initiative suggested by Camilla Fiorin, from Colophon Arte, who lives in Codogno and volunteers for the Protezione Civile, the national body dealing with the response and management of emergencies in Italy.
The idea is to make small artworks available on the website Artforcovid.com. The proceeds will be sent directly to the Protezione Civile of Codogno, first town to be declared ‘red zone’ and forced today to deal with a heavy social and health emergency.
To help cope with this latter no less dramatic emergency, we have asked artists and personalities from the Italian art world to donate artworks in support of the project. The name of the donor is always mentioned in the description accompanying the artwork on offer.
The Art for Covid-19 team coordinates the project through the Artforcovid.com website and supports it financially.
The project is in progress, anyone interested in contributing through the purchase of artworks is welcome.
